Babies are natural bodyworkers! Babies are finely sensitive in perception and feeling. A baby's brain development is strongly influenced in the first weeks and months of life. Bring your baby "as they are". Do not manipulate feeding or napping schedules prior to an appointment. This helps me work with your baby's natural rhythms.

A research study recently published reported that 73% of all babies have some type of asymmetry at birth! This means that three quarters of all babies born have difficulty with one side or the other, or there is something different about one side of the body when compared to the other. This can manifest as a strong head preference to one side, reflux, elevated shoulder, uneven hips, etc. How does this affect babies? It can make them irritable, have difficulty sleeping, difficulty with tummy time, can cause reflux and other GI disturbances, as well as hinder their development. I am only passionately curious. - Albert Einstein Michelle has over 12 years of experience as a neonatal / pediatric Occupational Therapist and 7 years experience as a Craniosacral Therapist and Infant Massage Instructor. Michelle is a Certified CranioSacral Therapist through the Upledger Institute. She serves as a TA (teacher's assistant) for CranioSacral Therapy I and II, SomatoEmotional Release I and II, as well as CranioSacral Therapy for Pediatrics I and II. Michelle has additional specialty baby craniosacral therapy training and experience. Michelle holds certifications in Infant Massage, Baby's First Massage and the Infant Behavioral Assessment. Michelle is a student of Qigong, Healing Touch, Reflexology and other complementary healing methods.
